Thanks for taking your first steps towards  'Freedom through  Organization'

After many years of being called "control-freak" by both friends and family, I have decided to use my gift to help others find freedom in de-cluttering their spaces. With a history of moving a total of seven times over a 3-year period and now having the blessing of an 18-month old toddler, I have learned the serious importance of organization in my life. It's not easy, and sometimes you just need a little help.

Whether it be a home office where you cannot find anything when you need it, overflowing closets, a garage that is used for everything but storing the car, a basement jammed with mysterious boxes, kitchen cabinets that spill over when opened, or bedrooms of which you cannot even find the floor...there is no job too big. If you’re tired of that embarrassing cluttered space, it may be time to get assistance.

Organization really does increase work productivity, save time and frustration, improve your attitude, and even
improve your social life. Allow me to assist you in changing your life one room at a time.

Find freedom through organization!

Why do I organize?

"Val, I feel like I am letting you into a part of my soul that I have been hiding, even from myself.
It feels good!" - Mt. Prospect client

"Valerie, this is the best money I have spent on myself in a long time!" - Barrington client

These are just two of my clients and their personal testimonies. My clients are why I organize.  My desire is to serve you!

Top 5 Organizing Tips

1. User manual filing system
Use an A-Z accordion file for storing instruction booklets for appliances and electronics. Staple the receipt to the inside of the booklet and then file it under the letter of the alphabet it fits. Example: toaster goes under T and not under the brand name.

2. Race to the Finish
Before the kids go to bed, have a 10-minute race to see who can pick up the most stuff.

3. Box It Up
Use plastic school pencil boxes with lids to organize your medicine cabinet. Sort all medicines by type and put them in the boxes. Then label the side of the box and store on a shelf in the cabinet. Use the same types of boxes to keep your junk drawer organized as well

4. Clothes by Occasion
Organize clothes by the four uses you have for them: formal, work, casual and sport. Keep all clothes for those different categories in different parts of your closet so you don't waste time looking for things that don't fit the occasion. From there, organize your clothes by color and style (for example, short and long sleeved shirts or pants and skirts) so that it's easier to create outfits and think of different options

5. Seasonal Shoes
Store out-of-season shoes in shoe boxes in the top of my closet. Write a description of the summer shoe on one end of the box for storage during winter. Use the same box for my winter shoes and write the description on the other end.
